Each day (except half-days), students in Little Lambs through 8th grade can enjoy hot lunches and a variety of à la carte items from the Charger Café. It’s a convenient option for busy families, and adding funds is easy through your FACTS Family Portal.
Here’s how it works:
- Each morning, K–8 students let their homeroom teacher know if they’re planning to purchase lunch—either the hot meal of the day or the à la carte items. Snacks, milk, juices, yogurts, cheese sticks, chips, fruit, and a variety of other items are also available on a daily basis, but these can be selected as students go through the lunch line.
- Teachers then pass the hot meal/ à la carte info to the Café staff so they can prepare just the right amount of food.
- New this year: For students in K–2nd grade, students may choose each day without having to pre-order via FACTS. Homeroom teachers will ask parents to complete a form that will help us to guide your child’s choices. You can also support your child by reviewing the menu together ahead of time.
- For our Little Lambs and VPK students, lunches can be pre-ordered up to midnight the day before using the “Lunch” button in FACTS (This will be available in the coming days). If you forget to order, please let your child's teacher know in the morning by 7:00 a.m.—we’ll do our best to accommodate. And don’t worry—we’ll always make sure every child has lunch.
You can keep track of what your child purchases each day by logging into your FACTS account. We do ask that families discuss any snack or spending guidelines with their child, as the school isn’t able to monitor individual choices at the Café.
To set up your lunch account:
- There’s a $50 minimum per family to start.
- You’ll get a notification when your balance gets down to $25.
To add funds:
Go to FACTS Family Portal → Financial → Prepay Accounts → Add Funds
